My Thoughts On News Briefing.

When I first watched a news brief I thought that it was similar to a news conference. The more I watch them the more I realize that they are aq not like news conferences at all. The reason I am starting to think this is because news conferences are a question and answer setting. News briefs on the other hand are more of a formal type meeting.

News briefs are more formal because at the beginning the press secretary takes a few moments to explain where the president is going in the next few days and what he will be doing while he is gone. The press secretary then starts bringing up things that are going on in the government. When this happens, the reporters start asking questions. Sometimes the questions are ones that the speaker does not want to answer but other times he does not mind.

I believe that the reporters and the press secretary understand eachother. They work together. They see one another everday. That's another difference between news conferences and news briefings. At news conferences, any reporter can be there to get the news. In news briefings, there are designated reporters to do the job.

I needed to reword question and answer in the first paragraph, myself.
Comma after happens, ap stylebook pg 357
correct spelling of and, myself.
