Advance On George T. Arnold

George Arnold, author of the Media Writing Handbook, will be visiting the News Writing class on November 11, 2009.


He will be speaking about the grammatical problems that most journalism students have problems with and his own pet peeves. By using his book you can easily tell what he likes and dislikes in grammar.


George T. Arnold is a graduate of Marshall University and is known as a professional in journalism. HE has a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communications. Arnold retired from Marshall University in 2004, and is now in the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism Hall of Fame, according to the Marshall University website.


Arnold will address students in room 331 at Smith Hall in their News Writing class at 12:30pm and room 135 in the Communications Building for a Copy Editing class at 2:00pm on Tuesday.
